Swapped now no cat converter
i have a 99 civic with a gsr that i kept obd2. the old motor had the cat attached to the manifold so i dont have one under the car. i have a new cat converter for a 91 integra... would that be fine for the comp or does it have to be for a gsr? also do the o2 simulators really work? thanks alot.
Just weld an o2 bung on the cat, after the filament
You may need to mess around with flange orientation...I dont know.
You are much, much better off with a cat though...without one they stink like *** and are ridiculously louder than you may think.
(my beater doesnt have a cat and its probably one of the worst things about the car)
I highly suggest you get one, if not the DA cat, then a new one.
Some simulators work...many do not

Mine looks for it...all you have to do is wrap the o2 sensor in aluminum foil and zip tie it to your shift linkage (the part that doesnt move) and you are all set no more cell...kind of ghetto but it works as a quick fix.

Yes it woorks, i have been driving it around for about 6 months that way no cell...Idle is a little off but i think that is because of my IACV

Blox Makes a Screw-in gap insert, that gaps the O2 sensor farther from the exhaust pipe, confusing it into thinking its a clean burn, so the 2nd O2sensor wont throw a CEL in the absense of a CAT.
