When installing and aftermarket tach is there a wire in the cluster you can tap into or do you have to go to the distributor? If you do which wire is it? (98 civic ex)

 

theres a wire in the cluster, if you have a ex you should already have one in the cluster, so just find that wire and splice into it. i did it in my 95 dx it was a green wire i belive but just look up the wiring for your car its easy.

 

why do you need a second tachometer?

 

i dono .. myabe he wants a light to go *ping* *flash* and blind him while hes driving .. who knows

 

it will most likely get your car broken into with that big-azz thing popping out....

 

The blue wire on the driver side behind the strut tower that leads to nothing. Atleast on 92-95 civics.
