Default I need advice on what to do?

I have a D17A1 engine in my 2001 Honda Civic. It's a five-speed. It's totally stock except for a K & N intake. What would be the next thing that I should do to increase my horsepower? Sorry If this sounds like a novice question, but the truth is that I am a novice. Thanks.

there is no cheap horsepower from the d17 period.

If u want to make power, the cheapest option is nitrous... if u dont want to use nitrous then your only other options are expensive, turbo or k20.

Unfortunately, the D17 is not very responsive to bolt ons.
