please help. MAP sensor question!!!!

Default please help. MAP sensor question!!!!

i did a 93 jdm h22 swap in my 94 hatch and im getting code #3 map sensor. i have been reading and saw that the map sensor on a prelude may be attached to the firewall behing the intake i am not sure though? if anyone knows the location and knows how to go about this problem so i do not through the code can you let me know.

The MAP sensor on your engine, unlike in other motors such a D series, is external, and uses a vaccum hose attached to the Throttle Body, rather then being directly bolted to the body. I guess it serves as some sort of space saving on the TB, im not clear on that tho. If your getting a code for it, theres a good
chance its shot, and needs to be replaced.
As for the location, it should be on the firewall, just behind the Intake manifold.

Bad MAP sensors will cause a number of problems too, such as running too rich, making your spark plugs turn black, and terrible sputterings / mis-firing upon start ups, and even when you put the throttle down lightly. When my map sensor went bad, when i would raise the RPM to say, 2200 ( by pushing the gas, not idle), it would start popping and sputtering and misfiring. It reminded me of a high-end boosted car about to do a drag racing launch, lol.
