Maybe a heat shield rattling? Have you looked under your car yet?

I have the exact same problem, I always put a heavy object next to the shifter when im cruising. It doesn't sound like its from under the car though. I am just to lazy to see whats loose.

When mine rattled I checked underneath and one of the bolts came loose. It rattled and moved side to side.

Is it a pain to check underneath? like you can't just pull off the shifter boot can you?

Try tightening the bolt that holds the shifter to the shifter fork thing.

I have the same exact problem. Mine started rattling when I switched to the B&M shifter. When I took the stock shifter out, I ripped the rubber boot at the base and I didnt replace it.....so in your case, take out the center console and check the rubber boots. It would be a good idea to check the bolts from the bottom to be safe. Ive driven mine for about 10k miles w/ the rattling and it hasnt got worse, I'm just used to it now.
