Default weight reduction question

has anyone removed the rear floor from their ek hatch on here? im talking about under the rear seats all the way to the back of the spare tire well. ive heard about it being done but havent seen it in person. i have my gas tank out already and im planning on torching the floor out this weekend and replacing it with sheet metal. my question is, does anyone have any pics of this process? i just want to see how much i can cut out, and also how much weight am i going to eliminate?

not much.. i just did it for the hack of it..
i think it's less than 40-50lb..
BC i can lift everything(seats, belts, carpets etc) easily....
i just did it BC i m the only muthfoka w/4dr n peeps keep asking me for ride...
n i hate that!!!

if u want weight reduction... go for fiber hood, n trunk....
i have fiber hood and that's an other 20lb off...
1/4 tank of gas and tellin your GF to get out n wait when racing would help too..

i have a cf hood and hatch, i just want as much weight reduction as possible. 40lbs would be decent. im not really concerned with safety issues its not going to be a daily driver. i already took out the center support beam under the rear seat, thats probly another 20lbs. i dont know though im undecided on it right now but thanks for the info

If you are asking us if it is safe, worth it, and do-able, than chances are, it's not worth it.
