wat gas should i run???
i was just wondering wat is every1 running for gas?? i was told i should use 89 for my setup .. (i am runng 00 si block with type r head) but damn times is rouhg $$$!!! would it make any diff. if i use 87??? thank for any help.
Just use 89 I dont get what everyone is complaining about with the gas, using a lower grade isnt going to save you THAT much money in the end but oh well its your car..
there's usually only a 20 cent difference between 87 and 91. dont be a cheapass and use the recommended 91. your engine runs better. you get better mileage.
u shouldn't choose gas by price but how your car runs...high compression higher octane.lower comp w/o turbo can get away with lower octane.low comp with turbo back to higher octane.92octane is what I use in my gsr and it does me just fine

You realize that it only cost abotu $2.50 more to fill yrou tank up with premium than with regular, right?
Not only will you get better gas mileage with 93 but yoru car will run and perform better.
Sell your car and buy a Daewoo or some crap if you want to be cheap.

well the reason i had asked was i fill my tank 1 day right (89) then the next day itll b real low! basically its eaten up the gas..fast.. wat could b causing this i dont even beat my car im talken bout daily driven from A to B..
*sigh* maybe i can help you a little. how far are you driving from point A to point B? On higher compression motors you want to use higher octane fuel, no matter the price. You pay to play. I would change the O2 sensors first. They will cause you to use alot of gas. thats whats going on with mine. Are you running an after market computer? I will help you the best i can.
yeah, im not sure if you saw the post earlier about changing your o2 sensors. it was posted by patrickgsr or something, but he changed em and got noticalby better gas mileage in the city and when he took it out for a long freeway drive, he got 250 miles per half a tank!!!! and his car has 240k. you can also buy ngk sensors with plug and harness for 50 bucks at most places, half the price of oem and just as good. im about to put mine in.

I have used 89 lately as well but motor is burning oil so I have to tend to it shortly so I am being a cheapass right now. The best we get is only 91 so not much to choose from. I actually have to drive either to one station in town or 20 miles away to get 91.
New Mexico rocks the 90 octane as the highest and its just as much as 91. texas gets 93 lucky bastards.

we have 94 in saginaw michigan and its great!!! i get power and gas mileage with it...if i put 89 or 87 i get worse GM and less power...its crap...oh i have a GSR though...my assessment is to run higher octane...its cheaper in the long run...
