Ok i know that when you go from obd2 to obd1 you only need one o2 sensor. I have been hearing from the other thread on here that wideband sensors go out easily. My question is do you just use the wideband o2 sensor for tuning and then replace the wideband with your stock 02 sensor once again? I guess i'm confused i was under the impression that i could keep my wideband o2 sensor and gauge (plx m-300) in my car at all times so i could always see my lambada? What do you guys do?

any OBD1 is just one 02 sensor usually most leave the car tune on open loop

 

keep it in your car at all times. or if u dont want to buy a wideband o2, then have your car tuned with a wideband then install an air/fuel gauge.

so keeping it in the car at all times is the right thing to do then? Have any of you had troubles with the sensors going out?

 

yep, its a wise investment. i havent heard of any problems involving sensors going badd

 

i could have sworn i just read a topic about the WB sensors earlier.. did you search? I might be wrong though, might be a diff site.. From what i read the NTK sensors last MUCH longer than the bosch sensors. Some people were saying they have their NTK last them over 2 years

yea there is a similar thread a few lines down but i was wondering not only if the sensor last but if you leave it in the car after tuning. Sorry for making a new one but i wasn't sure on what to do. I already have a plx m-300 i just wasn't sure if i leave it in the car or not after i get the car tuned.
