Default Running without o2 sensor?

Since got OBD2, and stoopid ECU always tried to fix A/F ratio depending on o2 sensor (at least for shure while not at WOT), can I just unplug o2 sensor?
Can I drive with o2 sensor disconnected without getting a CEL?

I know there might problem as ECU doesnt read o2 sensor, and thus uses some fixed variables for how much fuel to use, etc.. but I got SMT5 (piggyback computer), with which I can edit MAP signal and add/reduce fuel to make mixutres I want, without ECU scrapping that and setting mixture to some of it's defaults.
Oh, right.. forgot to mention.. it's OBD2... thats why it's so fucked up..

The OBDII ECM uses O2 output voltage to adjust injector firing duration.

Faulty or disonnected O2 sensors can cause lean/rich problems.

If you want to tune it better and eliminate the secondary O2, you should consider converting to OBD1.

I undestand that... but I have piggyback computer with which I can edit MAP signal (it creates another map file with which is adjusted MAP signal) - SMT5 (www.perfectpower.com).
So, if I adjust with this piggyback correctly, I can run without o2 sensor? (ECU wont freak out there is no o2 sensor connected?)

it will run alittle different while cruizing. But at full-throtle it will run normal

I think it would make a difference when you drive on the street and yes it will throw a check engine light. But we had no O2 on the race car and didn't make a difference on the track or on the dyno.

yes when full throtle the ecu is not reading from the o2. Cruizing its reading try to obtain stoich. fuel mixture. When WOT (wide open throtle) the o2 would go haywire trying to correct it, so its not using the 02 during WOT.
