Default Somebody please help me...

97 ex

i have posted on this before and searched countless nights in the archive...still having trouble.

when i start my car it struggles and then idles erratically until i give it gas (which isnt too bad). HOWEVER...sometimes it wont start. the electrical stuff comes on and it clicks but other than that...nothing. also...i keep having to pull out the ecu fuse because it keeps throwing the code "Cylinder 4 Misfire" whenever i start it.

any ideas? is it the starter? IACV?

My 98 lx has a similar problem, although I don't recall the exact code, the cause of it(according to the dealership) is the cam shaft position sensor needs to be replaced. This problem started after a couple of spark plugs fouled on me.

Pretty much the same happened with my civic. Check your gap on the spark plugs and make sure you have good wires. Bad wires+incorrectly gapped plugs=misfire. Not always the case, but it's what happened to me. Hope this helps.
