b20z CELs and car WONT start....HELP!
okay, the car was runnig strong with NO cels for the first week. then one day it through a code 43 (something about fuel problems). the car started bogging and one day it just died and refused to turn over.
we determined that the engine, was not getting any spark. we replaced the coil pack, and the ingnitor (ignition control module) and still NO spark. we checked to make sure the rotor was turning and it was. o and it has a BRAND NEW rotor and cap. then we replaced the dist w/ one we know WORKS, and still know spark.
im not sure if the code 43 and the dist problem are related. im just trying to get a damn spark from the dist.
has anyone had a simlar problem? if so plz help and tell us what was wrong and how u fixed it. o and any extra info on code 43 would be helpful also.

what do you mean does the fuel pump prime...let me ask this first is the fuel pump related to spark?...in other words if the fuel pump doesn't work then i won't get any spark either?...and the CEL goes on after the car runs for a little while then it goes on and throws the code 43 (fuel defective blah blah blah)

Yeah, if your CEL does not go off after 2 seconds of the key being on the On position, thats means that your Main relay may not be working (aka no spark no fuel) do you have power going to the coil?

how do i know if power is going to the coil?...there is no power going to coil b/c there is no spark right?...

not true sometimes, I think that you should buy/borrow a test light and see.

well ok it doesn't matter if coil works anyways...b/c i tried my friends distributor that did work and the car still got no spark...and of course his is a working one...
