help, burnt oil noticed on the turbo inlet today??
I took my filter off today and noticed oil before the wheel in the inlet.. It was very sticky almost like ****ed up tar and will need some kinda solvent just to get it off..
Is this normal??
the turbo has under 5k on it..

sounds like the oil seal on the compressor side of the turbo has gone bad.
you should check to make sure your oil return line it not kinked. it's at least 1/2" in diameter and it's above the oil level on the oil pan.
you may also try to add a oil pressure restrictor on the feed line and see if that helps. if not then your turbo will require a rebuild.

yeah the line is'nt kinked i already checked it out.. I was about to order a sc-61 or gt35 to replace the 60 trim anyway for more power.. I take the filter off regulary but i just noticed it this time.. I just added 1 of the nice turbo blankets from Viren b18turbo and i hope that did'nt help it go out.. It still pulls great though and i'm not losing oil that i can tell.. The oil was'nt wet just ****ed up and sticky..
