my driver side door lock is messed up. it makes this machine gun sound when i try to unlock it with the remote or the door switch. it does not make the noise however, when the door is open. another problem is that i cannot fully close the lock manually. i can push it so hard that i feel like its going to break and it still wont move over. the passenger side is perfectly fine.

basically the remote/switch only unlocks it 5% of the time so if i want to get out, i need to roll down the window and use the key to unlock the door. its annoying as hell and everybody looks over like im retarded.

i took the door panel off and sprayed wd40 on everything that i thought might need to be lubed up.

It is the power door lock actuator. If you are lucky, only the actuator motor needs to be replaced; otherwise the whole door lock actuator and motor may need to be replaced.
