got back from college this semester, and when i rolled the windows down, the passenger side window would not roll up all the way. There is like a .5 inch space there. It sounds like the motor is trying, but just cant do it. Anyone ever had problems like this?, if so what did you do to fix it...

Next, when i went to lock the car the passenger door lock doesnt lock. It makes this fucked up sound. Its sounds like a machine gun, like it goes back and forth really fast (like 5-6 times), and ends up in the middle. I cant push it to lock, b/c it just snaps back to the middle. what is wrong and how do i fix it.

Its a 96 GSR with 80k on it. thanks for the help

 

Sounds like actuator is hanging up maybe. Pull door skin and make sure window track is clear and check locking rod from door lock actuator. If there is no obstruction look at the teeth on the window track arms. The last few teeth tend to wear out.
