Default Help Needed, SIR1 Swap into EG.

Ok, so my friend got a killer deal on a SIR1 B16a, and he wants to know if it is possible to put it into his EG, what all would he need(besides the HASport mount kit, and the hydro conversion, also I think he maybe going hydro trans, and ditching the cable)??? Would he need to replace the intake mani???? I know he need a distributor, and ecu, but what wiring harness would be need??

Thanks,

Jesse

honestly dont do it!!!! too much hastle for a 10 year PLUS motor. I almost did it. changed my mind last minute for the hydro second gen. if u do it you need:
obd1 wiring harness (gsr, modified stock ..etc)
obd1 distributor
HYDRO TRANNY (calbe to hydro conversion kit SUCKS)
possibly new injectors
exhaust manifold or header
And a lot more .

no you pretty much coverd it except you can:
- splice into your stock distributor
- wiring harness is fine 92eg have pre wired vtec
-use you stock altinator just put the 1 bolt that lines up in
- yea your gonna need a hydrotranny
- and some integra ls,rs,gs,gsr or civic si engine mounts

its not a bad swap so what its an 11 year old engine with 30k on it big woop!

Yeah I know, it has like 40K on it, so what if its 10+ years old, anyhow its going into the autox bitch car, so it will be all good.

Thanks,

Jesse

you will need a hydro tranny, works better. next you will need the following for a 95 gsr or sirII motor. dist, engine harness, injectors(SOHC injectors will work)and you can resuse the b16a manifold(some hoses dont need to be connected)make sure you mount the MAPSENSOR on the firewall since its not on the TB. everything should be straight forward. ohh... use GSR mounts..... dont need mount kits
