Default gsr boost

hey i have a 94 del sol with a b18c gsr... im planning on doing a turbo install im leaning towards a stage 2 full race kit, i plan on also changing my timing belt, all seals, 780cc injectors, clutch, and tuning. I know it is said that gsr's can handle up 2 600 hp on the stock sleeves. I want to know what the internals can handle. I have heard 300 for the rods so should i replace the rods. I am aiming for 400 whp reliable daily driving. I usually drive on the highway alot but every now and then i will go to the track in jacksonville nc. I am thinking i just need to upgrade, springs, retainers, rods and pistons? does that sound right? is there anything else i should replace internally. the transmission is a b18c transmission with lsd.. i also have the full race traction bar

600hp on stock sleeves? Might not work well for reliability...

assuming the engine is healthy 300-350whp on stock rods and pistons is entirely doable with the right parts and a good tune.

once you start going over that and wanting things to be reliable all you need are forged pistons in whatever compression you want and eagle rods. no need for the super expensive rods unless you plan to hit 500+whp often. dont forget all the seals, gaskets, rings, etc. while you're at it.

ok thanks so i dont even need to do valve springs and retainers? im going to use a moates 2timer and tune with crome im going to put it around 275 daily and want to be able to turn it up to 400 when i got to the track. i just dont want to be worrying the entire time at the track wether its going to blow up or not. i want a little piece of mind know i set it up properly with the correct internals. 600 hp is ridiculous for a daily driven car the clutch i would have to get for that would make my leg fall off... thanks

depending on how old your stock springs and retainers are i would upgrade just for piece of mind and so you can rev a little higher.

crome isn't going to have the ability to handle two tunes. you will have to get it retuned each time you want to go to the track and when you want to go back to dd status. atleast as far as i have read.

If you have the money to boost a b18c, then you can afford a decent engine management system. I'm not saying that crome isnt good software, but they are right-you cant dial in dual maps. Just spend $450 and get you the new NepTune RTP. You can program several different maps, and can change them with your pc or laptop via the bluetooth option. My tuner has talked me into using this system, and I cant wait to play with it.

the moates 2 timer is a chip that seperates 2 chips and then you can hook a toggle switch to it and switch back and forth between chips. so yes ill need another chip to tune a street map and crome will work fine. i was just curious if im going to need to do some internals so my motor wont blow up. hopefully i can find rods and pistons for a good price. thanks gents
