im doing a ls/vtec 4 a friend. im leaving it obd0, n im using an bod2 block, but do i still need the knock sensor like the one on the obd0 block?

 

no, you can disable the knocksensor in your ecu (OBD-0 or OBD-1).

yeah but why would you want to, it can hear what you cant always hear.. unless your trying to get away w/ some detonation in order to tune the motor to make the most power....that would be my only guess to disable it

 

so i can eliminate it, n still vtec will pop rite?

 

you mean just run without it?

it will throw a code 23 i believe is knock sensor

you need to disable it with whatever tuning software ur using

 

wat u mean disable it? cuz im use a obd0 b16 ecu, den tune it later. but can u tune a obd0 ecu? im still not 2 good bout tuning ecu's
