ls knock sensor options

ls knock sensor options
what are my options for having a knock sensor on my b18a.
can i just use an obd0 vtec ecu and not hook up the vtec or will it throw a code.
can i use an obd0 vtec ecu and just edit it with turbo edit to not use vtec.
or can i simply add a knock sensor to my pr4 non vtec computer somehow

Why wouldn't you? Or in his case, Why wouldn't he? He asked if he can add one, and how. Not asking if he should or not.
