I know someone has had this. My transmission has been getting progressively noisier for the last two months. I already searched but no one could explain it well enough for me to understand if the had the same problem. It sounds like a grindstone sometimes, especially when it is cold, at idle mostly. Under accel it goes away, with the clutch in you can hear it about 1/2 the time, it will do it in nuetral with the clutch out also. So do you think it is the input shaft bearing? and, should I stop driving it right now?

 

 

my guess would be bad bearrings? time to rebuild or replace. no way to tell without cracking it open....

 

sounds like my problem. a shop told me i need a new tranny but i cant afford it now, so im gonna try replacing the fluid with synchromesh and hope that makes it last a little longer.. it doesnt help that i grind a gear at least like once a week, sometimes twice.

 

this sucks. I have to drive it today :-/ My hg change should be done on my CRX tomorrow though
