Default Reuse Head Gasket?

Is it ok to reuse the head gasket? It only has about 200 miles at most on it and used cooper spray. I'm using ARP head studs so I know I can reuse those.

Once a headgasket is crushed (torqued down) it is not reccommended to reuse it. IMO it's not worth gaing back and having to replace it again when it [likely will] leaks, just get a new one.

Just like all the others said, it is neccessary to buy a new gasket. Once it is torqued down it fills in all the imperfections on the block and head. It will never set right on there and will most likely leak.Just buy a new one and save yourself te headache later..

Well... Technically, you can reuse them. People have successfully, but I'm sure a LOT more have tried this and failed horribly.

They only cost $40, so why would you risk it? You're just playing rushing roulette with your engine if you do.

I never reuse head gaskets. its not worth all of the labor to replace it again if it doesn't seal.

don't be a cheapo and just get a new gasket

Since you're already down there, just put a new one there.
