Default throttle body issues. working on it now + having problems

i've got a stock ecu with a new intake manifold and a new throttle body. there are no vacuum leaks anywhere and im getting an irratic idle. i think its because i need to have my ecu remapped... its got other work to it. maybe its just time to upgrade the ecu... please help

its not the ecu, check the idle control valve... and recheck for vac leaks

as in new intake manifold do you mean aftermarket? if so it might need a tune b/c more air flow causing throttle and maybe idling problems

First off, don't bother bumping your post after 30 mins. People are reading it, they just aren't posting, maybe because they don't know what to reply.

Now some advice. Take off your intake and look and listen inside your throttle body. I had a Skunk2 TB that leaked air in past the throttle plate that was effectively a vac leak because throttle = 0% but too much air was coming in.

What engine are you running? Also you should use a throttle body gasket and not RTV or RTV and a gasket. Take off your throttle body and clean off all the RTV so its nice and shiny and then put on the proper gasket.

check for leaks in your intake manifold gasket, make sure it fits and seals right. that was the problem with my DA and an aftermarket gasket. turn it on and spray it with brakecleaner to check for holes and leaks. if not, its the idle control valve on the backside.

WHy aren't you using OEM gaskets again? Also check the throttle cable as it maybe to tight and the trottle could be stuck open.
