Check it out. Since my AC side engine mount is starting to crack. I think I may do this next time around. Not a bad idea.

BTW, anybody have a link to a place who SELLS the actual whole urethane mount. I just want the AC side bracket mount. Nothing else.

I wonder how good that really work. I would do it if it's worth the time.

STUPID
What makes it stupid? That its an innovative idea that you are not used to. Or is it stupid because you dont know how REALLY reliable it can be. Ill be the guinea pig of this mod and let you know whether if its "stupid" or a worthy investment.

I don't think it's stupid at all. Nissan guys have been doing it for a while. The ploy kit that starts out as a liquid is easier to do and can fill better than the super thick window weld that I used for my mounts (the ones in the link that was already provided).

The idea is not stupid...I can assure you of that. The difference is noticeable for any driving situation.

Plus, they hold up really, really well.

Very interesting...At first I was like that's ghetto...but it looks like there is some potential to that article.

Since I wrote the article, I can tell you that it works well. Yeah, it's ghetto, but most DIY fixes are sloppy....

Think about it. The poly mounts from Prothane and ES are essentially the same as making your own mounts. On civic's and 'tegs, the driver's side engine mount is the only one that you can really see. Make that one a bit cleaner.

I spent $12 on a tube of the 3M window weld and managed to resolve all wheel hop and unnecessary engine movement.

So, I tell you; It's worth the effort. Just do two torque mounts (civic/teg) or the front and rear mounts on accords/preludes.
