Lower engine mount (ac) and jim fab mount question
When I bought my car, it had a swap done to it already, and I didnt notice for the longest time, but thenI realize that I was missing the lower motormount where the ac bracket connects to
Im wondering if this mount is necessary, especially in a boosted application...
i was looking at the Jim Fab motor mounts and He sells the two lower mounts, so all i'd need is the ac bracket right?
also, i'm reading a lot of people saying how the "hard" jim fab mounts vibrate a lot and all this stuff, and they say to get the "street" mounts...are they just beeing wussies, or is it really THAT bad? i've ridden in my friend's car with all HA sport mounts and the vibration while noticeable, was not really that bothersome to me

Re: Lower engine mount (ac) and jim fab mount question (M.K.C.)
if you already have stiffer mounts, then the a/c one really isn't needed. From what HASport has told me, its there just to prevent the engine from going into the firewall in a collision. They said if you have aftermarket mounts, or even the motor mount inserts, then you only need the 3 mount points, which doesn't include the one you're referring to.

Re: Lower engine mount (sol2nr)
Actually, if the car is an EG/EK/DC the two front mounts(tarnny and AC) and the rear mounts are the torque mounts so the AC mount is needed. When you order the torque mount kit those are three mounts that you get.
