I HAVE A 1994 CIVIC SEDAN WITH A B18B, AND B16 HEAD, AND I MY CAR HAS RECENTLY BEEN GIVING ME PROBLEMS. IT WONT START, I ALREADY CHECKED THE SPARK PLUGS, ALL OF MY INTAKE MANIFOLD LINES AND THE FUEL RELAY, IM ABOUT 90% SURE ITS THE FUEL PUMP, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS I DONT KNOW WHICH FUEL PUMP I AM SUPPOSED TO USE. THERE'S ALSO ANOTHER PROBLEM, IM A BROKE *** COLLEGE STUDENT, SO I NEED TO FIND SOMETHING EFFECTIVE AND LONG LASTING AND ABOUT AS CHEAP AS I CAN FIND IT. ANY SUGGESTIONS... WHERE CAN I START... ANY SHOPS??? HELP PLEASE.

1) Try not to use caps because people here just don't like it, unless you're actually are yelling

2) You gotta find out if its actually fuel you're not getting. It could always be spark, your igition, starter, battery, anything because you weren't very specific.

NON STOP FORNICATION WITH THE KEYBOARD! CAN YOU HEAR THE FUEL PUMP PRIMING? IF YOU CAN HEAR THE FUEL PUMP PRIME WHEN YOU TURN THE IGNITION ON FOR THE 1ST TIME @ STARTUP THEN YOUR FINE WITH THE FUEL PUMP, CHECK THE STARTER, GROUNDS. DO YOU DO YOUR OWN WORK ON YOUR CAR? CHECK FOR SPARK 1ST, DOES IT TURN OVER BUT NOT START? AS LONG AS YOU CAN HEAR YOUR FUEL PUMP PRIME YOU GOOD, IT WILL BE IGNITION THEN. CHECK TO SEE IF SOMEBODY TRIED MESSING WITH THE WIRES UNDER YOUR STEERING WHEEL

 

i dont do work on my car by myself, I usually watch and assist my mechanic, im still learning. I recently got the swap so my spark plugs and distributor are new. I also checked them to make sure. I used a working fuel relay from another EG and it still didnt turn on. The car cranks but it doesnt turn on. And i had a problem before it totally shut down on me, when i would put the accelerated in, it bogged and it would die slowly, seemed like lack of fuel. Thats why i have a hunch that it will be my fuel pump.

 

well if you really think its the fuel pump then you can use one from any 92-95 EX/Si or 94+ Integra. Or buy a new Walbro for $75.

 

very possible, but it could be your injectors too. Does the fuel pump turn on? lift up the rear seat and move the ignition to the II accy position, do you hear a HMMMMMM-CLICK. sound? if no, then your fuel pump is not turning on, and its your F-Pizzle. (suburbian for fuel pump)

If you do hear it turn on, then its your injectors harness or something, try another ECU.

 

alright. thanks fellas. although, the cheapest fuel pump i could find was a wahlbro one and it comes with an instalation kit for $100 shipped. Everyone else around here is elling them for like 150-200... Thanks for the help. We'll see how it goes, i'll check for the injectors...
