i have a problem i cant rev past 3000 rpm and it would start bogging and my car is 96 hatch with obd1 gsr 97 harness. i had a friend check everything the motor is fine but it throw no check eng light. he said it could be my harness on the car does any know is that it

 

check your jumper make sure all the pins are connect it my car did the same thing and it was the way my jumper was done it was wrong has to get a new jumper.

 

where will that be located

 

Not rev'ing past 3000 is limp mode = ECU problem.

 

this happened to but not all the time, it ended up being a lose ground on the engine!

 

yup... also check yur dizzy.. i had a cracked dizzy cap. but i couldnt see it(on the bottom side). and it went into limp mode. check all yur sensors. if you let the car idle. does it do nehting funny..?.. like bounce or die? mabye sumthings unplugged. then disconncet the battery positive. once youve checked everything. leave it off for 20 minutes. then shaboom shabam... start it and see. ull have to run it for a bit so it can relearn its components. then see if u fixed it.

 

i dont think it in limp mode and it cant be the ecu cause i try my friend ecu and it burn it smoke was coming out of the ecu all sensor are good

yes, not being able to rev passed 3=limp mode.

have you tried to pull codes or are you assuming there ar enone cause the light isn't on?

 

it not in limp mode we try other ecu didnt work

 

If the problem causing the car to run in limp mode is not fixed then trying another ecu is going to do no good it will detect the same problem and run in limp mode. All that you did by doing that is you eliminated the ecu as the problem

 

to be honest... i dont think u belong near a car. take itto a shop. and have them tell u wats wrong. get a diagnostic on it. cuz its eletrical they could tell u. because yur never gonna find it. just trying to be honest.

 

Try switching out your obd jumper. I had a wire pull out of mine and it did the same thing. Its not that expensive for a jumper anyway.
