Default HELP- knocking noise from engine bay

i searched and it goes to find out i may have had a spun bearing or rod knock but just want to make sure.

it happends when ever i start up the car, even when its cold. When i drive it, it does get louder and i can hear it over road noise and low music.

it was driving fine last night tell when i got at a stop light the oil light came on and died?! i know for a fact there was oil in it cause i just put new oil in there maybe a week ago!

i got home, and checked the oil level... and there was the right amount of oil...

the sound is coming from the number one piston, or so right over the vavle cover.

im tired of this stupid motor

HELP!

Sounds like a rod... drop your pan and check it out. luckily enough you can get ad16 real cheap if you need to. who knows, pick up a d16y8 and get you'll get baby vtec (only on the intake but hey, better than nothing) I have a y8 and i love it.

sounds like a spun bearing perhaps. Check for flakes in the oil pan. If you see bronze flakes, you'll need a bottom end rebuild. If you don't replace/fix it, you'll throw that rod.
