Default Clutch problems

One of my friend are having problems with his tranny. It doesn't go into any gears, thats when the car is running. But when the car is off it goes into gear. When leaving it in gear and start up the car, it feels like it wants to go forward with out realeasing the clutch pedal.

Any idea will be helpfull

I think the problem would be the pressure plate, but really unsure.

What year? If hydro, top off the clutch master cylinder and bleed the clutch slave cylinder.

These are the thing we look at so far and replaced.

Top of fluid and bleed system
Changed tranny fluid
Check linkage and shifter
Changed the slave

Might be a bent fork or a screwed up pressure plate/clutch.

I've got the same problem, changed out the slave and master and bled the system. I'm also guessing its the pressure plate. Doin a clutch job in a week.

Does it vibrate in neutral once the car is warm? What fluid is in your transmission?

Switch to Honda MTF. 20w50 is too thick. The manual recommends 5w30 only as a temporary fluid.

i have a similar problem with my b18c swap.

picture this:

your drivng and you come to a stop sign. you stop and try to pop it into 1st. you cant. you release and press the clutch again and still cant push it into gear. as you push the lever trying to get into 1st you notice that the rpm drops a little the harder you push. you finally shove it real hard into gear and the rpm drops to zero and the car stalls. when the car is off you can finally put it into 1st, you turn on the car w/ the gear in 1st but just pushing the clutch pedal down the car rolls foward (no hill). this is my problem... my clutch wont be here for 3 more days any ideas on what else might be wrong?

Does it go into any of the gears besides 1st? When one of the springs in my clutch came off it acted as you described with all of the gears. I didn't force it in like you did though but I'm pretty sure it would have stalled too cause the rpms went down as I tried to put it into gear.
