Del Sol fuel pump question
I'm looking to replace my stock fuel pump before it fails. I was originally thinking about the Walbro's, but have become wary of them because they are loud. My car is stock and I want to keep it as quiet as possible. Aside from buying another stock pump, which is more than I can afford, can anyone suggest some quiet pumps? I've searched for all permutations of fuel pumps and noise, but haven't found much in the way of suggestions. Thanks .
Skoundrel, how would you compare it to stock? I like hearing them prime at startup. It makes troubleshooting easier. I just don't want to hear it while I'm driving. Thanks for the reply.
Anyone else have any experience with the 190 lph Walbro? It is really tempting, but I don't want to get stuck with a noisy one. Also, would anyone know what the stock unit flows? Thanks.

hey a got a 255 walbro i droped in my del sol a week or two ago and yeah it primes noisy for like 4 seconds (comparable to you power window rolling up or down ) and the only other time you hear it is after warm up at a stop light it humps a little but who cares turn on your radio at like 2 volume and now more hum!! its not like your on the street and some guy's on the next block changing his oil and is like "wtf is that a walbro 255 fule pump in a del sol!" it tolerable for sure i try to hear it and cant alot of the time
I'm with 4ghatch. I have a 255 in my sol. He's right. At start up, it's like rolling down a window. I can't hear mine while driving at all. Stopped, if you listen for it, you can hear it. But it's not the annoying whine you hear on a GM truck. Man, I hate that sound...
this has probably already been covered, but I wanted to double check. If I put a 190lph pump into a stock motor, would that damage the stock fp regulator, or would it run rich?
