How to remove these studs?

Default How to remove these studs?

Any body know how to remove or break the studs. I accidently over torqued and now i cant get them off. Thanks guys.

muscles they cant be on there that tight i have broken many valve cover bolts using an small 1/4 rachet

Snap it off then take the valve cover off and take the stud out and replace it.

Tried breaking it with a hammer and flathead. Wouldnt break.

forgot to mention it the cap spins freely so i stripped the thread.

try using a screw driver to push up the nut while unscrewing it with a wrench

yeah it looks like a socket but its spireled on the inside to grip the bold ill get a pic for you if i can

you just put it on the nut or bolt and turn it like you are going to lossen it and it digs into the nut or bolt and takes it off you will have to replace the bolts after you get them off

ow nvm. cut it off an get a new stud. lol. Or get a knife an wedge it under neath the nut an try to twist the nut off.

Just do like xracerhatchx said and use a flat head screw driver to pry up on the bottom of the nut while you use a ratchet to unscrew the nut

Yea, I was gonna try that when i get off work tmmrw afternoon. At work right now so cant do it here. I was just wondering if there was anymore options.
