TYC HID Conversion Questions
I just ordered black one piece TYC headlights for my 94 Civic, but now I want to increase my light output with a nice HID kit. Here is a link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1 that shows the Kelvin temp rating on all of these bulbs. I'm thinking of either 8000K or 10000K, but want some input as I have never done anything with HID conversions. Anybody with any experience would be good for some advice, but I figured the appearence/cosmetic forum should handle this situation nicely. When I do get the headlights and HID kit, I'm planning on doing a follow-up mini how to thread, because I've found nothing on how TYCs look with HID kits.
If your looking for a brighter lighting from your headlights, 4200K is the brightest you can get...when you get into 8000K+ its just for looks...it will acually be less light
This guy is selling a package deal. I'll be buying the black housing ones, but do you think this is a good deal or can I throw together the TYCs and HID kit together myself for less. He wants $580 shipped. I can get the black TYCs for $180 shipped, so I'm assuming its better to go with putting it together myself. Question is, are the McCullouch HIDs good quality? Because the first link has them for $250 shipped, meaning I would only have $430 into this setup and save myself $150. How easy are these to install?
What the difference from the first link and these?

And here's the TYC package.

most states and provinces its illegal to have more then 8000K in most places its 6000K IIRC.
8000K will give you less light but nice blue tint to it, but the 6000K owns all go for that.

Sounds good. But what do you think of those auctions on eBay?
