Default Am i burning oil?

hhhmm i dont think im burning oil. but the oil has went down. in about a month the oil went down to a little over half way.

I am throwing codes 6 , 10, 22

I have JDM b16a first gen with stock header and ITR intake manifold
in a 89 civic hatchback si

am i burning oil??

i did have a bad dizzy for about a week, untill i found out that it was bad, then i replaced it.

ive heard that the b16 are common to burnin oil. or maybe you have a oil leak.

yea thats what i was trying to find out.. if this was common or not. im not leaking oil so i dont think thats it.

how often do you hit Vtec?

vtec burns oil as well as gas milage

so if you rev out your engine thats normal over a months period of time

well actually im throwing code 22. which means my vtec cylinoid thingy is broken. or the censor is bad.

so i dont even hit vtec.. i do kinda ride the motor hard.

nothing to crazy.

vtec opens the valves to use more oil, and by hitting vtec, your using and burning more oil.

if theres no oil under your car then your burning it. take a white rag and wipe above your exhaust tip see how black it gets

This statement is so full of **** I almost want to put it in my sig. You don't know what the f uck you are talking about.
If an engine is burning oil, it is due to worn parts. The ONLY production car that is designed to use oil is any car with a rotary engine.
The most common reasons to use oil are worn valve guides and seals or piston rings if it doesn't leak.

Vtec burns oil.....Thats the funniest **** I think I have heard all ******* day in this forum.

code 22: vtec pressure switch

Try checking the black wire and make sure you have a good ground.
Use a multimeter to verify this.

if you drive it hard its normal to use oil, the rings can only hold so much pressure....its called blow by
