All motor ?
i was tryin to get the highest"SAFE" compression & the most possible HP outta OEM parts, I was wonderin how a b18a block W/b20 crank Gsr rods,B16 pistons, mildly shaved head,Ctr cams w/ITR IM,...or itbs,..anyone running this,..or now any other combinations to get a mean OEM b series
gsr rods with an 89mm crankshaft are going to creat just a little bit of a problem
Also why would you replace your crank for the same crank ? b18a/b/b20b/z all share the same 89mm stroke crankshaft and all use the same connecting rods which are very siginificantly shorter than gsr rods.
The crank/rod combo you have listed suggest's your in a little over your head when it comes to building an engine. Besides that the setup would be a decent oem parts build

No, did you even read what he said? gsr rods+ls/b20 crank= wont work
Do yourself and everyone here a favor and just follow one of the thousand build threads on this site

first of all b18A blocks suck, trust me and get a B18B!!! put PR3 B16 pistons in it, B16 head with Type R cams.... those pistons in the block and a b16 head will put you at about 12:1 compression, very safe and reliable build

LOL.
What are the differences in an b18b block vs b18a.
Oh yeah, if they are both obd1 blocks it's just the letter

Little change to your list: B18a/b block/crank/rods, b16a pistons/head CTR cams. ARP rod bolts PROPERLY put in, and you can see 180'ish horsepower on a good tune. Yes, probably more if set up well.

Is he keeping the ls head or swapping it with a vtec head? I wasn't aware you could put ctr cams in an ls head
