safe to ground my vtec oil pressure switch to A16 or A18 on the ecu harness?
description pretty much says it all. already searched and i'm not grounding it in the engine bay since it was a b18a1 originally and there was no vtec wiring run.
pw0 ecu, grounding b5 to bypass the oil pressure switch.
basically i'm not grounding it at the thermostat b/c i'm running one wire only to the solenoid and that's it.
if it's unsafe or not recommended to splice back to the ecu ground at A16 or A18 then what is the best/closest place in the passenger footwell to ground to?

I know this works for OBD1 and OBD2 ECUs, but I'm not 100% on OBD0 ECUs. I'd be shocked if it didn't work though...

so the idea would be just to bridge b5 (vtec oil pressure) to a8 (vtec solenoid) and run a8 to the solenoid in the engine bay?
i thought to bypass the vtec oil pressure switch b5 just had to be grounded...how would it help to connect it to the vtec solenoid wire if it transitions.
does this way just also happen to work or would grounding it be sufficient?
i always thought just bridging the two was a roundabout way of grounding it anyway.

if you simply ground the line, you will eventually have a CEL. as to why...

if you simply ground the line, you will eventually have a CEL. as to why...

can't test right now since i have the hood off from fixing the leaking passenger area.

glad to hear it worked. 
CEL 23 (knock sensor) is something you're going to have to either fix, chip the ECU to bypass, or get a different ECU that doesn't look for a knock sensor.

going to have to fix it why...i'm comfortable driving with the check engine light on if vtec still engages.
i will have to teach my wife to read ecu led blink language. if anything besides long long short short short happens then i'll look into it.
i don't know who stuck a 1.6 in my integra before i bought it, but i'm not out to treat it nicely. if the light being on becomes troublesome i will look into bypassing it on the ecu. if something goes awry, we have towing and then i will stick in a gsr.
