B18C block with LS Crank = Oil squirters
I know its been covered lots of times, and I read most of them, lol
this question never been covered.
B18C block with LS Crank = Oil squirters
ppl say for forged pistons, I don't need to Oil squirters or bend them since forged pistons are pretty much high heat resistence, so they don't need the oil to cool them down "correct if Im wrong"
I'm installing B16 pistons. and they are ceramic coated pistons, are they as reliable as forged pistons? both are high heat resistence purposes
Please Advise. Thank you

Just because the LS block doesn't have them, is that a defined conclusion as to why GS-Rs shouldn't use them? This goes with the same debate as to how LS blocks don't have a block girdle so they are unnecessary in EVERY LS/VTEC build.
At a risk of offending 90% of the forum, there's other forms of motorsport other than drag racing where the girdle is "nice" to have.

If you have forged pistons, sure, block them off. But don't go telling others it doesn't work when it can and has been done before.

As stated before in this thread, considering you are retaining your cast pistons, you need to have your oil squirters. Having your cast pistons ceramic coated isn't going to yield the same characteristics as a forged piston.
An LS block doesn't have oil squirters however the rod has an oil gallary that aids in cooling the oem piston.
