Default Blown ecu??? or main relay??

hey guys i was wondering what r the symptoms of a blown ecu.. im getting mixed opinions.. my fuel pump is not working nor am i getting spark on my wires.. ppl told me its my ecu but others tell me it could be my main relay.. my car wont turn on at all, it does crank but wont turn on. could i pleaz get some opinions.. PLEAZ!!!!!! thanks for ur help

To check if your main relay is out, listen/feel to the relay when you turn your key to the ON position. If the relay clicks, then it is still good. In my exprience, this sounds more like a main relay problem then a blown ECU, but I've seen both happen.

they also told me it can be the distributor. im confused so many things.. its not the relay i checked it already.

1st, what all doesnt work,
verify no Spark
verify no Fuel

2- Check fuses
3- Your relay is common to both, check for 12 volts coming out, check for 12 volts at appropriate fuse.
4 Check your icm and coil, make sure all voltages are present.
5 Check for voltages at ecu.
Start with that, post your findings.

i had the same problem.. my 6 puck clutch had jarred my back up fuse slot so much that it wouldnt make connection until i wiggled it.. simple fix if thats what it is.

I just took it to the mechanic and they told me that it has a short and i also need a sensor... dont know which one though.

Can a short circuit blow a sensor?????

a short circuit can damage sensors, and the ecu itself.
