can anybody tell me how the main relay works. what it does, how it gets its power...


i know its a dual relay
ive heard it powers up the ecu first. once the ecu is powered up it powers up the fuel pump. i have a problem somewhere in there. my ecu powers up but the second relay kicks on whenever it wants, then everything is fine.

 

Have you checked for cracked solder joints on your main relay?

 

i dont think it is the solder. ive tried 4 different relays and 1 of those was from a perfectly running car.
