i just baught an amp kit and kicker sub set. how do i install
i know a few things but i dont really know what tha ground wire goes to an all that. i have a factor deck an im runnin a '06 accord. need help getting thru to the battery.
Ground wire goes to a good chassis ground, preferably within 12 inches of the amp.
If the amp has high level inputs, you can simply tap the rear speaker lines. If not, then you'll need a line-level converter.
Oh yeah; Search. This has been discussed literally hundreds of times.

yeah ground just goes to chasis, but make sure if you drill any holes that you make sure youre not gonna hit the gas tank or you have a big bill to worry about and make sure you sand down the surface so it makes connection. As for the battery cable you may be able to find an empty grommet or a grommet that is larger then need be that you can run through. Make sure you put a fuse in line within about 18 inches of the battery to make a safe install
Step 1. Drive your car to Best Buy
Step 2. Pay for installation
Step 3. Fill out the work order
Step 4. Leave and wait for them to call you
Seriously, if you don't have any training or experience, you're going to regret doing your own install later. I've seen so many DIY installs that were just a complete mess. You're not born knowing how to install, and being able to work on cars is not related experience. Also, installers have the many specialty tools it takes to do the job right and you have to consider the investment.
On the other hand if you want to get a book and start reading, then we can help you along. But no one's going to write a step by step from start to finish that will cover every car.
