Anyone with experience with passenger side turbo inlet manifolds ?
I picked up a used equal length manifold and looking at it closer its designed for passenger side inlet.I'm planning on using it on a EG with no ps or ac.By modifying the waste gate I could use it as a driver side but I am curios about using it as designed. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this design.
my greddy kit put the inlet on the passenger side. the main disadvantage is the downpipe. its very hard to route a 3"+ to that side and also under the oil pan so that it doesnt scrape/crack/bend every time you hit a dip.
I'm guessing it's oriented this way for p/s,a/c clearance. It moves the turbo a little more to the passenger side so I am considering spinning the turbo and it will give me a little more room for an intake elbow and filter. The waste gate is run into the collector at the front and piped around about seventy degrees to the drivers side and flanged there. It looks like I could just cut the tube about an inch or so at the front and flange it there. Then I could run the inlet on the drivers side.
Without the a/c or p/s I sure don't see any reason to have the inlet on the passengers side.

main advantage of keeping your turdblow pointed away from p/s and /ac is to retain p/a and a/c.. downpipe, fabrication of and size of downpipe becomes a pain in the *** but something has to give.
