2000 SI speedo problems odometer problems
on my way to work today, i noticed my speedo, trip and odometer were not working.. everything else is, such as the tach, temp, gas, turn signals.. i checked the VSS once i parked and its tight on the tranny.. drove it again and still nothing.. please help-any advice is appreciated

Maybe it's the actual VSS that needs to be replaced. The symptom you are experiencing is definitely has to do with the VSS.
so it can just happen overnight?
it worked last night.. then just all of a sudden stopped.. i have an extra VSS so ill try and swap it out..

vss more than likely. d series and b series are the same on the trannies 
no CEL will be thrown because i havent had a speedo in over a year and Im not throwing anything (missing pinout in conversion harness)

i'm having the same problem with my civic SI cluster. the speed,trip, and odometer doesn't work properly. should i just switch my VSS also o_O i dont know what a VSS is. some pointers could help me out laot thanks.
I just had this problem... check fuse # 15 in the in car fuse box... check that out
if its not blown... let me know and ill give you some other ideas

it looks like a little peg i guess you could say botled to the tranny with only two small 10's. located near the back of the tranny and it points directly at the hood - basically right behind the started in the lower second, right above the p/s axle.
takes 10 seconds to replace and is on any d series and b series tranny like I said.

It's pretty easy to spot. It's (I Think) the only big sensor on the tranny.
It's got a few wires going to it and has a oval shaped bracket. A fet bolts will set it free.
