Alright I have no clue how to get a code because neither of my ecus have a flasher, and I dont have the 2 in jumper. I really need to be able to pull the code cause I am having prooblem with my car and it wont even start.
You should be able to go to autozone or a similar auto-parts store and get a universal reader that would be able to tell you the code number.
Check this link out. Look harder for the two wire jumper, it's gotta be there

I am pretty positive it isnt there, I ripped up the carpet, took the ecu wiring out of the carpet, and all I see is one orange wire and i tried grounding it and nothing happened. There is no 2 plug anywhere at all, this seriously sucks!!!

im not sure if this is anything, but there are 2 pink rubber covered female plug(single connection each) connected to the ecu wiring, and 2 light blue rubber covered male plugs hanging from the firewall.
I cant honestly remember, but I believe in my CRX, the 2 wire jumper is actually under the hood on the left shock tower. Mine has a little yellow rubber boot over it.
If that doesnt work, just ground the SCS (Service Check Connector) and the CEL should flash. Wire up a toggle switch so its easy to use in the future. I dont have a helms manual in front of me, so maybe someone can post up the ECU pin for you.

So you're OBD1 ecu doesn't have a flasher? The flasher is how you check your DTC codes (CEL).
As far as I know if the CEL is on, but the Flasher on the ECU isn't flashing then the ECU is faulty. As least that's what it says in both my haynes and Chilton manuals. I'm pretty sure you don't have to jump the connetion on the yellow plug under the hood (or the blue plug under the dash in my 91 civic) to check codes. You jumper that if you are timing your car. That puts the car into 'base' timing and it doesn't let the ECU advance/retard timing. That way you can time i correctly.
Know anyone with another ecu? I would pop that one in there and then see if that ecu flashes a code.
Don't know what else to tell you. Good luck

Thanks, but like I said I tried 2 ecus I have, a stock pr3, and a j-k tuning one. Neither have flashers so I have to resort to the jumper. But im gonna try the A13 idea and be right back, thanks.

Yup did the A13 and still nothing but a solid cel. I unplugged it and it turned off, did a 10+ code (nothing else) and stopped with a solid cel. Then I grounded it again and did the 2 pin and just a solid cel. I think the 10+ code was me moving my hand around the ground and was actually nothing but a solid cel and me moving the ground.
Anyone know why the cel is just solid??

I think only 88's have the jumper on the drivers shock tower.
call me crazy, but does a solid cell (while jumpered) mean 'no codes'... or does it stay completely off?
I forget.. my engine always runs perfect..

.....ouch, my ego, hahahah
But the cel is stuck on, and yes there is something wrong with the car, is was in limp mode, then just turned off. Its not the ecu because I tried 2, have reset the ecu as well.
Bump for some SOLID CEL info!!!

oh, so it is solid ALL the time?
did this happen right after an obd1 conversion? give some history leading up to this problem.

The car sat for around 8 months, started it u every couple months. Then I decided to do stuff to it so I can drive it again and when I started it a little over a week ago it was in limp mode, wouldnt let me rev past 3500 and almost bogs when you hit the gas. A couple days ago I started it and it died on its own after running for like a minute. No wierd sounds, as if I turned the key.

Barrow a distributer from a friend and see if that changes anything. That way you can rule out several things in one shot. I've had a bad distributer cause something similar inthe past.

try calibrating the tps sensor...did u remove the tps from the throttle body? Also it may be your 0-1 jumper harness..did u make it yourself?I just went through these similar problems and solved it
