I would say go with the T28, it spools really fast and it will get good power through most of your RPM's. The T25 will fall on its face in high rpms.
In my opinion i wouldnt turbo an expensive type R motor. If your using it for autoX then put your money towards a stiffer suspension and making your car lighter, because these things will be alot more useful. Plus with the high compression from the type R i dont think it would be very reliable except at very low psi, and for the cost of a turbo i just dont think its worth it.
just my 2cents.

he said he had an SiR motor...which some kind of b16a(1st gen, 2nd gen, etc.....not a type r motor b16b or b18c5/r.

Decent advice overall though, a t25 is better on an sohc, the t28 will spool almost as fast as the t25(or faster if you get a BB t28) but, won't fall on it's *** past 7K. Just don't expect to get huge whp out of turbos that small, I think the t25 maxes out around 250 and the t28 around 300 or so. with whichever turbo you go with you should have a very nice/manageable power curve.

Go with at least the t28. Maybe even a Gt2871R.

As far as traction, get some v710s and you should be good

I take it you are running in Street mod?

Definitely go with the T-28. The T-25 is just entirely too small.

spend your money on suspension....its wayyyyy easier to drive a slower car, especially for new autocrossers. Get tires first!
