Default What exactly is a "domelight supervision" ?

On the 5900sst on the h1 harness, there is a black/white wire that is the domelight supervision output. What is wire supposed to do when I arm/disarm the system? Is the domelight post to come on and then off? If so its not doing that, is it b/c I need a relay hooked up to my domelight wire? I'm tapping my black/white wire into the light green with red stripe wire.

my car is a 1998 honda civic DX 4dr.

Alarm is the Viper 5900 sst

Unplug that wire asap before you burn out that circuit. It will not support the current draw to turn on the dome light. You will see the light really dim if you do it. You must use a relay to hook up the dome light. It will also flash when the alarm goes off

the black/white needs to be hooked up to a SPDT relay to work properly.
hook the black/white up the pin 85
hook the constant 12v+ to pin 86
hook up ground to the pin 87
hook up your door trigger to pin 30

here's a link with a diagram
http://www.the12volt.com/relays/relays.asp
it should work
