Default 300whp stock b16??

my buddy just put down 306whp @ 9psi on a stock b16 with his "pieced together" turbo kit, and this was on a slipping clutch. tuned with chrome with 255 fuel pump and 880 injectors how safe is this to drive daily?? will post pics and dyno sheet once i figure how.

ARP or other aftermarket headbolts seem to be necessary to keep turbo motors running dependably.

Should be fine as a DD. Just like with most un built turbo set ups..dont beat on it all the time.

he plans to build it later. putting in the new clutch tomorrow. thanks for the info.

his setup consist of a RLD-FAB ram horn mani with downpipe and dumptube, t3 60-1 turbo, precision intercooler w/ custom piping from a friend, tial 38mm wastegate, 880cc injectors, 255 fuel pump and thats basically it. 306whp @ 9psi seems like some pretty sick numbers to me.

Theres a highest HP on stock block thread:

B16:
1. Randys 630whp and 390tq on 118. (10.97@131)
2. C squared motorsports 511whp GSR head/GSR tranny....(10.84@134)
3. redline130 393 whp 261 ftlbs, C16 (11.65 @ 125mph)
4. marques4130 350 whp sunoco 112 best (11.8 @ 119 @ 4200 ft)
5. 98gsrTEG 344whp@1 bar on pump gas
6. Black SI 344whp on a stock b16 @14psi
7. 99B16Si 333whp/221wtq SAE at 13psi SC61
8. integlspwr2k 330whp on a stock head stock block
9. Bryson 329whp 210tq 13psi SC61 on 91
10. G"UNIT 329whp 207tq @12psi on a sc61 on 93 octane

His numbers are real impressive but not uncommon by any means, sounds like a stout setup though...up the boost
