Default Too much Oil = Smoke?

My brothers engine (y8 head w/ jdm d15b vtec bottom) is smoking a lot, he just recently swapped the motor in and he put in too much oil, where it says the oil is full on the dip stick, it is like 2 times that, so its about 2 times more than it should be at. would that cause it to smoke? we were thinking it might be the stem seals too

thanks

Yeah, you will get really high oil pressure, forcing oil through the tube on the valve cover leading to the intake. It'll then burn.

ya wow, this guy is pretty dumb. drain some out, drive the car for a bit and it will probably stop.
