Slow boost build below 4,000 RPM on Accord SOHC
Hey all, I seem to be having a issue with boost building slow during the beginning of shifting into 3rd and 4th, 5th usually as well but as soon as I get to 4,000RPM and up, it holds 10psi like a dream.
Here's the setup:
Mild-built F22A6 SOHC
stock bottom end
EVOIII Big 16g turbo
DSM modified manifold with Tial 38mm ext wastegate
2.5" o2 housing with 3" side exit exhaust
2.5" charge piping hot/cold
P75 SOHC_MShue tuned on Crome
The car is smokin' fast and runs great. But if I redline third and shift to fourth, it's boggy feeling until 4,000RPM hits. Anyone run into a similar issue, obviously not on the same setup since no one boosts Accords haha
I'm really looking for a reason why or anything to help boost build quicker...or at least smoother and more exponentially.
[Oh, Off-Topic, I recommend everyone updating to the new Firefox, I can spell check any topic/post box on any forum or website...it's awesome!]

you prob. have an exhaust leak, but those turbos have a pretty big exhaust wheel on them so they are a little laggy on honda motors.

lol, HT already has a SC feature, and SCing someone else's work is for spelling *****.
I would ask mshue if he messed with the gear ign retard at all. That and look for any exhaust and boost leaks. Use the pvc-cap method and pressurize it from the TB coupler to the turbo coupler.
