can i make 300whp on this setup?
this is all in my 1999 EM1
bone stock b16(compression 250+ per cyl.)
with arp head studs and GSR cams and adj. cam gears
t3/t4 57 trim
750cc injectors
2.5" intercooler piping with front mount intercooler
drag log manifold
2.5" downpipe with 2.5" exhaust
walbro 255lph fuel pump
turboxs RFL bov
boost controller
cluytchmasters stage 4
i will be using neptune and making my appt with EVANS TUNING (he is the man!!!)

430whp is about the max that 57 trim will make....and at that point it will be begging for death.
As to answer the original question, yes 300whp is doable and relatively safe at that....just find a good tuner

I didnt say it couldnt be done, but your turbo hates you....
Also, the turbo is quickly falling out of its efficiency range and simply blowing hot air. Most people stop at about 22psi on a 57 or 60 trim...nice work hitting and holding 24psi on it

Yea.. upgrade to a 3inch DP and 3inch exhaust and you will have NO PROBLEMS hitting that

Regarding your compression test: The actual number is not as important as to how far each number is from the other cylinder. You dont want a gap larger than 15 from one cylinder to the next. for example: 275 and 255 would not be good.

Please, just get another exhaust manifold. Any log or even cast revhard or blox manifold will blow the drag POS out of the water. Your #4 cylinder will thank you later! Don't forget, you do need a wastegate.
3" downpipe will help durastically. that 2.5 will make you run 2x the psi to get the same numbers, killing your turbo twice as fast and the resitriction in your motor isnt cool either. do yourself a favor and spend 100$ on making one.

Hardly.
b16a2 9.1
Stock bore/stock sleeves
13lbs = 350whp w/g
18lbs = 400whp
22lbs = 450whp
Once I get my $hit in order, going to press for 500whp.

So true, can't stress the difference a proper 3" exhaust makes..

Damnit, after reading this thread I'm convinced that I need to upgrade to a 3'' dp instead of keeping 2.5''. My setup will be running in less than a month and its aimed for 400+hp DD. damn thats 350$ I gotta spend.. heh.
i made 30 more hp at 10psi with same turbo - definately less stress on turbocharger. i did upgrade IC piping at same time i upgraded 2.5" dp to 3".. exhaust is still 2.5" and i plan to keep it that way for 400.. its loud enough.
as already mentioned. i would ditch drag mani. for inline pro/blox

Of course it will be fine, but 3" is the ONLY way to go...
Less boost, more power...no contest.

How do you upgrade IC piping?
Even 2.5" is large.
Regardless, 2.5" dp CAN make 350whp I bet, but all everyone is trying to say is WHY would you try to save yourself 100$ when you're killing your turbo and motor faster than anything.
3,000$ > 100$

i am trying to make 300whp reliably on my daily driven car. i dont wanna change my exhaust or anything else i just wnted to know if i could do 300 on my setup. i know there is room for more power if i was really concerned about that id lose my a/c and id have a built ls/vtec under my hood with a ramhorn boilted to the front of it. i just wanna make 300whp on my si and keep my a/c and p/s. if that happens ill be happy. if i need more power ill buy something to play with and keep my daily driven 300whp em1 that could make more power but doesn't.
