Just to the left of your oil filter is a one wire switch. Its for the oil light. It is trash, basically it lights the idiot light when oil pressure is 3psi. Thats way too low for you to do anything at that point. Just removed that thing. The hole in the block is 1/8 BSP and your gauge came with a 1/8 NPT. They are almost exactly the same except the taper of the threads is smaller for BSP. That means your fitting will only go in about 3 threads. Get a 1/8 NPT tap and make that hole the right size, otherwise you may damage the threads. Its easy, dont worry.

Come on guys .... do it right...
buy a BSP to NPT adaptor...
don't have the TEE hang off the block.. this will only cause problems later on...

I would recommend an electric guage over a mechanical one.

hot pressurized oil in the cabin = no good

as everybody is saying, make sure you have a distribution block:

you can get nicer blocks/lines/adapters here:

DO NOT PUT THE SENDOR ON THE BLOCK, RUN TO THE FIREWALL!

that sender unit is fairly heavy and the vibrations of the motor will cause the block to crack. i have read about it happening a lot and never really believed it...

then it happened to a friend, and now he has JB weld on the back of his black.
