oil pressure
Ive seen those gauges for oil pressure where you have to tap your oil pan and what not run an oil line thru the firewall to your gauge, i was wondering if they make a digital oil pressure gauge that woudl run off the ECU or oil press light

You don't tap your oil pan. You tap/splice into an existing fitting on the block.
The autometer gauge I have uses an electronic sending unit that reads oil pressure and sends the signal to the gauge via a set of wires. No oil lines to mess with. And also no chance of the oil line rubbing through and making a mess in your car (very remote chance, but it HAS happened).
Also, I'm not aware of any gauges that can tap into your stock oil pressure sensor signal. I think it's because your stock sensor is more of a on/off kind of switch. Not linear like an aftermarket one.
BTW, when you idiot oil light comes on you're VERY low on oil. You're running oil pressure that's in the low single digits. NOT good.

I have 4 cobalt series gauges. They're a bit on the pricey side. check autometer's site for pricing. The different gauges I have (oil, fuel, egt, boost) were around $175 a pop or so. Like I said, NOT cheap. You can get a cheaper series though for less than that.

Ya the stock SWITCH on/off will not work. You need and electrical oil pressure gauge, and a 1/8NPT female to 1/8BSPT male adapter. If you want to keep your stock dummy light you will also need some type of T or distribution point.

All I remember from the installation proceedures is that they mention to never have the oil pressure sending unit directly on the block. You should get an extension to set it up somewhere else. Apparently the vibrations that we experience with Honda engines can cause the sending unit to break off.

They crack the block not the sender usually. And id say at least 60% of those cases did NOT use the proper BSPT fitting.

Ben running my tunertoys adapter fitting off the back of my block for a while. I have the stock sensor, my autometer and an oil feed line coming off it. Still holding strong.

Yeah that tuner toyz fitting is AWESOME! I am going to run an oil filter sandwich with 3 ports....
