Default How much boost/max horse? gt28 turbo?300hp?internally gated

I was wondering if anyone knew how much boost i could run on my low compression turbo setup, its a garett t28 with an internal wastegate and also if my intercooler would hold that much power............? (its the turbo and intercooler from the edelbrock turbo kit) thanks

heres a link to the it

uhhh.....engine? mods? i'm assuming stock d-series for the time being. with a good tune, 200whp is achievable. I personally would run 180-190whp just to be on the safe side.

take it to a good tuner, he should be able to tell you. my bet would be 250-300whp would be safe if you have the following:

forged pistons/rods
arp rod bolts
new bearings
sleeved block

head work is useful for a better power band and to reduce valve float at high rpm's, but stock d series heads have seen 300whp before no problem.

sleeves arent completely necessary, stock sleeves are rated around 400hp+ i believe...

which t-28? theres different trims and whatnot. as i understand the one that comes with the edelbrock kit tops out at 250ish? im pretty sure but not positive. oh and you will be limited by the internal wastegate

sleeves may not be necessary, but you'll sure be wishing you had em if your engine blows. my advice is to upgrade valvetrain, new cam (exospeed or crower), do the block work, stick the turbo in there and tune it to 250-300whp
