so i was driving i turned my head then looked back now my speedo isnt working as well as my odom. i checked my codes to see what its spitting out and its spitting out the code 17:VSS Sensor and code 41: Primary oxygen sensor heater as well as like knock sensor and tps but mainly worryed about the spedo and odom. help pls btw its a 92 civic w/b16

Buy a vehicle speed sensor.

If it's OBD-II buy one for a 99/00 Si, if it's OBD-I buy one for a OBD-I del sol w/ a B16a3.

sorry im dumb how do i know if its obd 1 or obd 2 :X i took it off and a piece of it is broken and i have no clu what make/model car i need to buy it for. b16 is a obd-i isnt it?

 

what year of the car did the engine come out of

can u get a picture, and has the head been changed casue i think not sure someone where on the head it will say the year

ya on top of the vss is a 3 prong connector the owner never told me what yr and what not it was from. or what yr/model car to get parts.

 

umm its a p72 ecu isnt that a Obd-i?

 

it doesnt matter its all the same vss. you can use any vss sensor from any b series motor. ls, gsr, type r, b16 of any year

is there a certain year? and there was like 2 types of vss so i was like humm which is why i started researching

 

Check all your ground wires. I had problems with all of the sensors you mentioned and all I had to do was tighten down the ground cable on the thermostat housing.

 

no we took off vss and part of the piece is broken.
